At long last the new Most Valuable Member (MVM) is up and running.  You must login to see the link in menu and input your points.

Inland Empire .NET User’s Group Most MVM (Most Valuable Member)

How’d you like to win a significant prize, by helping out your fellow user group members? How’d you like to be recognized as a person who stands out above the rest? What if it was easy, and didn’t take that much time; only a commitment to become a community leader, sharing ideas, helping the user group grow, stretching your own boundaries, coming up with new ideas.

The Inland Empire .NET User’s Group MVM program (Most Valuable Member) is about this. By telling us about what you’ve done during the next year, and accumulating points, the three members with the most credits will become an IEDOTNETUG MVM.

Every July, the IEDOTNETUG will hold a special ceremony to recognize the top three members of the user group.

Here’s how it works. Attend a meeting and get 100 points. Bring a guest and get an additional 50 points. Write a book review and get 100 points. Write a book review on the book you won as a raffle prize and get 500 points. Answer a question on the UG forums and get 100 points. It’s stuff you do anyway, so why not get the credit and recognition you deserve.

The rules:

  1. You must be a registered member of the IEDOTNET UG (either email or full-paid) to qualify.
  2. You must login and submit your activities yourself.
  3. When submitting an activity which requires verification, you must tell us how to verify.
  4. All entries will be verified before points are accumulated.
  5. In the event of a tie, the member with the broadest range of activities will be the winner.
  6. Credits requested within 1 week of the previous meeting, will be doubled.
  7. Credits requested for a meeting date which has 20 attendees or more, will be doubled.
  8. Credit requests expire 2 months after a meeting. For example submitting a Credit Request for attending the October meeting in January, will be denied.

That’s it. Easy peasy, nice and cheesy.
